…Blood and Black Lace (1964).
Mario Bava does it again. The hunting ground for our serial killer is a modeling agency in 1960s Rome, which means we’re treated to stylish models, beatnik bongo music, and high fashion that would make Anna Wintour jealous. This early slasher flick, a pioneer of the genre, is so stunning (direction, cinematography, lighting), it should be used in film schools. It's a technicolor dream.
